WORK FOR WOMEN
INCREASED EMPLOYMENT IN GERMANY Uuitrc Press Association-B.v EleeliK Telegranh- Copyright LONDON. January 7. The Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph” says: The annual report of the Reichkredit Gesekkschaft reveals debit besides credit items in Germany’s economic position. Tn spite of the stress laid on industrial expansion, there is a continued shortage of raw materials, preference being given in obtaining supplies to industries of national importance. More noteworthy, considering the Nazi regime’s success in reducing unemployment, is the fact that there is now little more than 500.000 unemployed, of which only half are fully employable. One result of the shortage of labour is the re-instatement of women in industry, which will be a complete reversal of the principles preached when Herr Hitler first came into power.
