Players from the Auckland province won all five titles at the North Island tennis championship meeting, which concluded at New Plymouth on Saturday. Results of the finals were:— BOYS’ SINGLES Final A. McCracken beat T. Crone 6—3, 6—5. GIRLS’ SINGLES Final Miss J. Hunter beat Miss B. Warner, 6—4, 4—6, B—6. MEN’S DOUBLES Third Round Brown and Mayson beat McCarthy and M. Dickie 6—3, 6—3. Semi-Finals Brown and Mayson beat Jenkinson and Dold 6—4, 6 —4. Sturt and Gunn beat A. Dickie and E. Dickie 6—2, 2—6, B—6. Final Sturt and Gunn beat Brown and Mayson, 7-5, 8-6. MEN’S SINGLES Final A. D. Brown beat N. G. Sturt 6—4, 6—2. WOMEN’S SINGLES Final Miss M. Beverley beat Miss O. J. Taylor 6 —2, 6—4. MIXED DOUBLES Third Round Gunn and Miss Beverley beat E. Dickie and Miss M l . Bright 6—2, 6—l. Semi-Finals Sturt and Miss N. Beverley beat J. J. McCarthy and Miss B. Griffiths 6—3, 6—2. Gunn and Miss M. Beverley beat Miss O. J. Taylor and Shaw 6 —4, 6—3. Final Sturt and Miss N. Beverley beat Gunn and Miss M. Beverley, 8-6, 7-5.
