MILLIONS OF NEW TONNAGE PROPOSED United Press Association—Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 28, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 27. The Rome correspondent of “The Times” says: The President of the Fascist Federation of Shipowners states that the first stage for providing millions of tons of mercantile vessels entails the building of 44 ships displacing 250,000 tons. An Italian company will build nine vessels for the Lloyd Triestine, 13 for Terrentia, 17 for the Adriatic. Five liners of the R.B.M.A. Augustus will be reconstructed. The total cost of the programme will be £16,842,000.
