AMATEURS HOLD MEETING INTER-CLUB FIXTURE In conjunction with the finish of the Christchurch to Timaru road cycling race, the South Canterbury Sub-centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association held an inter-club meeting at the Caledonian grounds on Saturday afternoon. Overhead conditions were ideal and the tracks were fast. Some excellent finishes were provided, there being large fields of a fairly high standard. As a result of the competition, the South Canterbury Club emerged with a total of 47 1-3 points, Temuka with 33 1-3 points and a combined team representing Waimate, Fairlie, Geraldine and Pleasant Point, with 1 1-3 points.
