NEGOTIATIONS FOR A NEW AGREEMENT British Official Wireless RUGBY, November 18. On the news which reached London yesterday that the payments of Brazil’s foreign debt coupons are to be kept up to date pending negotiation of a new agreement, quotations for Brazilian bonds, though still normal, are considerably higher. A small Improvement in Brazilian stocks has followed the announcement that Brazil will not default after all. The service will be kept up-to-date until a new agreement is reached. The announcement came as a great surprise.
