WOODBURY

MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB The final shoot of the 1937 season was held on Monday night. Captain Burdon’s Cup for the best shot, rapid fire and disappearing target, was won by C. Shaw 77 and 80. G. Caln was runner-up with 75 and 80. The club championship average, for 20 nights, resulted—J. G. Cain, average 79, 1; H. Wooding, 781, 2. The club has had a very successful season and several young shots give promise of being useful members next year. SEPTEMBER WEATHER September was a warm sunny month with very few frosts, only nine being recorded, the hardest 12 degrees, being on the 29th. There was a fairly heavy rainfall, rain being recorded on 11 days during the month as follows; 7 points on 2nd, 25 on 4th, 20 on Sth, 18 on 6th, 36 on 21st, 52 on 22nd, 74 on 23, 32 on 24th, 50 on 25th, 10 on 26th, IS on 30th. The total fall was 339 points. The rainfall to date this year is 22.12 inches. Last year it was 31.94 m.
