SPRING FLOWER SHOW MORE EXHIBITS Favoured with excellent weather, the twentieth Flower Show organised by the Albury Presbyterian Church, was held in the Public Hall on Tuesday. The total number of entries showed a slight Increase, there being a reduction in the flower section, and increases in the needlework and cookery sections. Notwithstanding that the district had experienced a severe winter and a dry spring, the quality of the flowers was exceptional. Tire award for the champion bloom went to Mrs W. A. Little, the exhibit being a new variety of narcissi. Mr w. R. Davison, chairman of the Mackenzie County Council, opened the show, and complimented exhibitors on the fine display. Other speakers were Mr P. Kidd (president of the Flower Andrews. Altogether the show reflected Show Committee), and the Rev. E. thorough organisation, and praise is due to the secretary (Mr Bruce E. Smith) and treasurer (Mr C. T. Norton) and other members of an active committee. The judges were:—Mr and Mrs G. Knowles (Timaru), floral section; Mrs J. Cunningham and Mrs Turnbull (Pleasant Point), needlework; Mrs McLeod (Tycho), cookery. Stallholders were: Cakes, Mrs W. R. Davison, Mrs W. A. Little, Misses R. Wisely and M.
