WIDOW ARRIVES FOR UNVEILING CEREMONY By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, October 4 Accompanied by her son, Mr Fred Holland, of Adelaide, Mrs Holland, widow of Mr Henry Holland, fc.mer Leader of the Labour Party, arrived by the Aorangi to attend the unveiling of the memorial to her husband in the Boulton Street Cemetery, Wellington, on Saturday next. “My arrival in New Zealand to-day is very different from my arrival with my husband the first time,” said Mrs Holland sadly. “Then we were both young and things were very different My husband had come here at the request of the Waihi miners to help them as he had helped others. We did not know what was before us, but we were full of hope. To-day X have my sons with me, but otherwise I am alone.” “My husband would be very glad were he alive to-day,” she continued “and he must be glad to know what his old comrades are doing. He would have done the same.”
Mrs Holland was met by Mr Roy Holland, of Wellington. This afternoon she and her sons were entertained by the Labour Club. They will leave for Wellington to-morrow. Mis Holland is remaining in New Zealand for several weeks.
