ASSAULT ON WOMAN By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, October 14.4 A sentence of 14 days’ imprisonment was imposed on Edward Henry Golding, a chemist, aged 34, who pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman. The police said that Golding had been friendly with a divorced woman, but she had ended her associations with him. Early one morning he entered the .louse where she was employed and punched and kicked her. She was baaly battered. “It seems that he is a good chemist but a poor gentleman,” said Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in passing sentence.
