REPORT FROM HIGH COMMISSIONER The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated September 18, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow—Market quiet; nominal quotations 6d to 1/- easier. Hemp—Manila: Market dull and easier. Value “K” grade for SeptemberNovember shipments £27/5/-. Sisal: Market quiet but steady. SeptemberNovember and October-December shipments quoted sellers £27/5/-. New Zealand: Nothing to report. Eggs—Market firm; demand is good. English, national pack, 15 - to 20/-; ordinary pack, 17/3 to 17/6. Danish. 12/6 to 14/3. Oils and mines were especially dull, and industrials weak with a downward movement, which gathered pace in the afternoon, though business was mainly professional. Gilt-edged closed firm, but industrials made a poor showing.
