FIGHT WITH CONVICTS
BLOODSHED IN AMERICAN PRISON United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 20. 9.5 p.m.) FOLSOM (California). September 20. One guard and two convicts were killed and the warden (Clarence Larkin) critically Injured, and at least seven others hurt, in an unsuccessful attempt by seven convicts to escape from a penitentiary. During savage fighting with knives and clubs In the prison yard the warden was stabbed in the abdomen, and is expected to die. A squad of reserve guards overpowered the convicts.
