KING’S VISIT TO STATE GALLERY British Official Wireless (Received June 30, 5.5 p.m.) . RUGBY, June 29. The King and Queen drove from Buckingham Palace in an open laudau. drawn by four Windsor greys to the State Gallery, where the King opened the new sculpture halls which are the gift of Lord Duveen. The King described the new halls as the finest in the world. His Majesty congratulated the gallery, which owes its origin to private generosity, on the fact that benefactors had always been ready to subscribe tow’ards the extension of its scope.
