BELGIAN MINISTER IN WASHINGTON IMPORTANT STATEMENT ISSUED United Press Association—By Electric Tel egra ph —Copyrl gh t (Received June 30, 8.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 30 At the conclusion of the conferences between President Roosevelt and Dr. Paul Van Zeeland, Prime Minister of Belgium, the following joint communique was issued: “Within the frame of the traditional American policy, it was the disposition of the United States to co-operate in any joint Work in rebuilding International trade, to continue co-operation in monetary matters, and to seek an arrangement by which the burdens and dangers of overwhelming armaments would be reduced, or the methods for their employment safeguarded. President Roosevelt commented that the conversations had been most helpful.
