A COLD DAY

SNOW ON THE HILLS Tire coldest day of the winter was experienced yesterday when the maximum temperature did not rise above 40 degrees. Rain during the night brought with it a fall of snow extending down to the lower foothills, and throughout the day a keen wind off the snow kept the temperature down. Though the showery weather was protracted into the afternoon the fall at 8 a.m. was only 13 points and very little more was collected during the morning. The rivers were normal yesterday afternoon.
