OTIPUA

EX-PUPILS' EVENING There was a good attendance at the monthly cribbage and draughts evening under the auspices of the Pareora West Ex-pupils’ Association, held on Monday night in the Otlpua Hall. Mr B. E. Evans (chairman of the Association) welcomed all present and advised supporters that during the winter months ex-pupils’ subscriptions would be 1/-, while outsiders’ subscriptions would be 2/-, supper to be provided. The winners of the cribbage were Miss E. Arden and Mr B. E. Evans. MINIATURE RIFLES At the weekly shoot of the Otlpua Miniature Rifle Club, T. Hughes was the winner of the button with 78. Mr R. A. Rodgers' trophy was won by H. Arden, with 75 off the rifle. The best scores were: T. Hughes 78, J. Brehaut 77, B. Watson 76, H. Arden 74, R. Thompson 74, A. Tate 72, J. Hill 72, R. Jackson 71, N. Jackson 71.
