LABOUR PARTY

TIMARU BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Timaru branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, the balance-sheet was read and adopted. It was unanimously decided to endeavour to co-operate with the Ministers 'Association with a view to having the Sound Shell on Caroline Bay thrown open to public meetings. The following motion was carried: “That this branch of the New Zealand Labour Party communicate with the Director of Housing, Mr J. A. Lee, and inform him that there is no area in Timaiu without its quota of bad houses, and that the whole of Timaru be subject to inspection.’’
