MOTORIST KILLED

TWO PASSENGERS IN HOSPITAL By Telegraph—Prese Association NEW PLYMOUTH, March 7. Hughie Wise Flower, a labourer, of Tawhiti, was killed and M c E. A. Wiy and Miss Jean Way were injured in a motor smash at Hawera on Saturday afternoon. Flower was driving to the Hawera Hospital to see his wife, a patient in the hospital, when his car came into collision with a car driven by P. Keegan of Stratford, at an intersection. The front wheels were interlocked. Flower’s car was turned round to face the direction whence it came, capsized and was wrecked. Flower was dead when released from the wreckage. Mrs Way suffered shock and scalp wounds, and TY-s Way abrasions to the face and contortion of the right leg. Both were admitted to Hawera Hospital. A third passenger. M- R. Way. suffered shock only, ana was able to go home. None of the passengers in Keegan's car was injured.
