A League of Nations job worth £3500 . a year is going begging, namely the F‘gh Commissionership of Danzig, which General de Graff has declined, acting, it is reported on the advice of the Dutch Government owing to fears I of becoming entangled in disputes with 1 Germany. Other Governments apparI ently have the same fear. A Norwegian lawyer, Mr Reimers, is understood to be willing to ac-ept the post but he is not favoured by the Polish Government, which must be consulted. A Portuguese admiral Is also mentioned.
