ALSATIANS IN FEDERAL CAPITAL CANBERRA, November 2. An ordinance gazetted last week makes it an offence for any resident of the Federal Capital Territory to keep an Alsatian dog which has not been properly sterilised. Anyone convicted of owning an unsterilised Alsatian who fails either to remove the dog from the Territory or to have it sterilised is liable to have the animal destroyed. The penalty provided for owning an unsterilised Alsatian is £5.
