AGREEMENT WITH ARGENTINE Untied Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 27, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 26. In the House of Commons, Mr Walter Runciman (president of the Board of Trade) announced that a new .Argentine trade agreement had been reached and will be operative from November 20. Terms of Agreement “The Daily Mail” reports that the Argentine agreement will be retrospective from November 20. It provides a duty of Sd on beef and veal, with 20 per cent, ad valorem on tinned meat, and reduces the total meat imports. There will be no duty on mutton and lamb, and no reduction until the agreement is discussed by the Imperial Conference. It is understood the Argentine will maintain a preference on British industrial products.
