Coincidently with the reception of a cable from Capetown to the ffect that there is no doubt that the Stirling Castle will break the record to the Cape and that she is already, after 12 days’ sailing, the fastest ship in the Cape trade, the Union Castle Line al a meeting in London made financial arrangements for the building c ? a new mail vessel of the Stirling Castle type and installing new engines in five other Castle liners.
