All-night tram services will shortly be provided by the Melbourne Tramways Board to fill in the existing gap between midnight and 5.30 a.m. The experiment was tried here 13 years ago and proved a failure, but the Board believes the conditions are now largely changed. At present all-night services are being successfully run on many routes by private buses. Recently the Board agreed to run trams oh SUhday mornings for the first time in the history of Melbourne.
