TIMARU CLUB Last week brought to an end for ‘his season the activities of the Timaru Badminton Club. It was with much regret on the part of the members that the closing night on Wednesday, t ought to an end a most enjoy .ole and successful season The president. Mr Oakey, said he hoped that everyone had thoroughly enjoyed the season, and he hoped they would al] be playing again next year. On Monday night last a very interesting ladder match was played, that for first place, between V. Oakey and J. Milliken. It resulted in a win for V Oakey by 21-6 The younger player had the best of it nearly all the time and we offer congratulations to him for his splendid effort. The season ended with the laddere in the following order for the first four:—< Ladies)— Miss J Eaton, Miss D Shirtcliff Mrs Lewis. Miss Robertson <Men» v Oakey J Milliken, W Heads S Fogg The following is the list of prizewinners for the year:— Women.
