The political situation in New South Wales is still uncertain, as the Government supporters having the majority of the metropolitan constituencies are very dissatisfied with the Ministry’s attitude to the relief work problem. A special meeting of the United Australia Party group of Parliamentarians to-day further discu. .ed the Government’s policy when, - fter a brisk discussion, a resolution submitted by Mr J. C. Ross censuring the Cabinet, was defeated on the voices. Mr Ross also sought to depose Mr E. Spooner, acting Treasurer, from the position of Deputy Leader of the Party, but after Mr Spooner had given an explanation of the position he had adopted at Friday’s Cabinet meeting, Mr Ross withdrew the motion.
