TRAP SHOOTING
VVAIHAO FORKS GUN CLUB The Waihao Forks Gun Club held its opening shoot of the season on Saturday. The light was extremely bad for shooting and marred what otherwise would have been a very enjoyable afternoon. Results:— Five Bird Sweepstake (12 entries)— A. Gorman and J. Naughton shot all their b’ .-ds and divided the stake. Seven Bird Sweepstake (16 entries) —A. Gorman, S. F. Hanson and A. McDonell shot the possible and divided the stakes. Seven Bird Trophy Match (16 entries); first, trophy presented by Mr T. Sullivan; second, by club.—F. Medlicott, J. Frewen, D. Tee, R. Baker and S. M. Dixon shot the possible. On the shoot off R. Baker won on the tenth bird with S. M. Dixon second. Seven Bird Sweepstake (16 entries) —A. McDonell with the only possible took first money, while A. Gorman, D. Fee, C. Wall, J. Naughton, J. Frewen and S. F. Hanson with one bird down, divided second money. First,,Miss Out Match <ll entries), trophy presented by Mr D. Davy.—J. Frewen won on the ninth birth, with R. Baker second.
