BUTTER SUPPLIES

PLANS FOR REGULATING SHIPMENTS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 8. Dr. Earle Page, a member of the Australian Cabinet, upon his return from Denmark, informed the Associated Press that his discussions with the Foreign Minister showed that the Australian and Danish butter interests were reconcilable. Dr. Page unofficially discussed the project of the meeting of the Australian, New Zealand and Danish Butter Boards, following the completion of the Anglo-Australian marketing conference, with the object of reaching an understanding on the regulation of butter marketing. Dr. Page stated that if this were achieved, it would mean improved prices for producers in the countries concerned, while creating stable prices for the consumer. Opportunity may be taken to open a discussion when representatives of Danish butter interests visit England in the next fortnight.
