OCCUPANTS SERIOUSLY INJURED United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copvrtght (Received December 6, 12.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 5. An aeroplane, piloted by Douglas Way, was taking off from Crescent Head Beach, 310 miles north of Sydney when it crashed into a party of campers in a tent and killed Mrs Violet McKernan (60) and seriously injured her daughter Thelma (23). Other campers had narrow escapes. The ’plane was wrecked. Way and a companion suffered minor injuries.
