The M.C.C. team returned to Sydney to-day from Brisbane. All the players are fit for the match, which opens to-morrow, against an Australian eleven. The team ha's been booked to sail for New Zealand by the Wanganella next Thursday, but, if the strike continues, other arrangements will have to be made. E. R. T. Holmes (captain), intervi'-w----ed, said that several players entertained hopes that they would return next year as members of the English Test team. He expressed the opinion that the personnel would be vastly different from that which visited Australia on the last occasion. G. O. Allen would possibly be captain.
