if. C. WILLIAMSON’S BIG UNDERTAKING United Press Association—By Electric T el egraph —Copyright (Received May 10, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 10. It* is announced that Messrs J. C. Williamson, Limited, have adopted plans for a new theatre in Sydney, costing in the neighbourhood of £200,000. The erection of the building will begin as soon as suitable financial arrangements are completed. The Criterion Theatre will be* demolished in pursuance of the City Council’s scheme for widening the streets.
