CRICKET

SOUTH AFRICANS IN ENGLAND MATCH AGAINST LEICESTER United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 6. The cricket match between South Africa and Leicestershire was continued to-day. Leicester in the first innings made 123. Leicester was always in trouble after Bell dismissed Berry. Crisp was the most spectacular bowler, but Tomlinson was the most impressive, cleverly mixing pace and break. The fielding of the South Africans was often brilliant. Dempster, who is not yet qualified for championship matches, looked dangerous, but Crisp beat him neck and crop with a perfect length ball. Wade did not force a follow-on, deciding to give his team batting practice. Wade himself showed fine forcing strokes. Following are the scores:— LEICESTER.
