A WHIRLWIND
DAMAGE AT METHVEN By Telegraph—Press Association ASHBURTON. May 2. Methven experienced a whirlwind at 7.45 last evening. A third of the roof of Newman's stables and shop and the verandah were demolished. An iron shed was lifted bodily, narrowly missing a motor-car travelling on the road. The windows in several premises were broken by stones.
