WEST END CLUB The first annual general meeting of the West End Miniature Rifle Club was held on Tuesday night when Mr T. Currie presided over a large attendance of members. Mr Currie, in outlining the year's operations, expressed pleasure at the very successful season. Although a large amount of money had been spent In starting, the Club was in a sound position and he hoped that the coming season would be just as successful. The election of officers resulted— Patrons: Messrs J. E. Chiles, E. G. Kerr, T. Elder and C. W. Heslop; president: Mr T. Currie; senior vice-presi-dent: Mr B. Stoddart; vice-presidents: Messrs T. Tozer, A. Jones, C. Lund, W. Duncan, J. Norrie, A. Toneybee, L. C. Vinnell, G. Head and Capt. Rathbone; secretary and treasurer: Mr G. W. Heslop; assistant secretary: Mr B. Stoddart; auditor: Mr P. Knowles; club captain; Mr J. Hull; vice-captain: Mr H, Currie; handicappers: Messrs R. Tate and G. W. Heslop; armourers: Messrs F. Wakefield, F. Knight, J. Seaton and A. J. Caswell; ammunition stewards: Messrs B. Stoddart and G. Collins; target checkers: Messrs R. Tate, J. McKay and D. Stewart; coaches, Messrs J. Hull, H. Currie, D. Stewart, and F. Knight; executive: Messrs T. Currie, B. Stoddart, G. W. Heslop, J. Hull, H. Currie, W. Ward, F. Wakefield, R. Tate and F. Knight. It was decided that the club open its season April 2 and that there be a ladies’ championship as well as an A and B grade for men.
