PEEL FOREST
WORKERS’ EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION The annual general meeting of the Peel Forest W.E.A. was held in the Library on Tuesday evening. Miss O. Stinson presided over a good attendance of members. The balance sheet showed a credit of 7/6 on the year's working. The secretary’s report showed that from a total membership of 21, the average attendance at the classes had been 15. The sum of £l/10/0 had been sent to Canterbury College as a donation. During the season three plays had been performed in public. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss O. Stinson, leader, and Miss M. Money, secretary, for the efficient manner in which they had carried out their duties. The election of officers resulted— Leader: Mr P. Scott; deputy leader: Miss O. Stinson; secretary and treasurer: Mr D. G. Rutherford; play committee: Mrs E. Foden, Miss O. Stinson. Messrs P. Scott, E. Foden and D. G. Rutherford. It was decided to invite Mr J. Johnstone, M.A., to speak at the opening meeting.
