PSYCHIC FUNERAL
SOLOS BY RED INDIAN SINGER Two spiritualist services, with solos by a Red Indian chief, were features of the funeral in London of Lady Caillard, widow of Sir Vincent Caillard, the diplomat and industrialist. Psychic photographs were taken at the first service which was held in Lady Caillard’s home. The Belfry, a converted chapel, in West Halkin Street. Seventy spiritualist friends of Lady Caillard sat on gilded chairs in a semi-circle round the pastel-blue coffin, which was surrounded by banks of ' wreaths. Mr Maurice Barbanell and Viscount Molesworth gave addresses. Chief Os-ke-Non-Ton, the Red Indian singer, sang “Rock of Ages.” As the coffin was borne out of the house bells in the chapel were tolled. Mrs Arthur Hulme, daughter of Lady Caillard, represented the family at the service. Lady Conan Doyle and her son, Mr D, Conan Doyle, were also present. At the Golders Green Crematorium the tiny chapel was crowded with friends of Lady Caillard. Many of the women were fashionably dressed, and only a few were in mourning. In the chapel Commander Guy Maund, Lady Caillard’s son, waited for the arrival of the cortege. As the coffin passed out of view Chief Os-Ke-Non-Ton, from the organ gallery, sang “There Is No Death.”
