KEEN DEMAND FOR DRAUGHTS That the demand for good draughts is as keen as ever was demonstrated at a sale which was held at Holme Station saleyards at the conclusion of the Ewe Fair. Buyers were present from all over the district and bidding was spirited throughout. Sales were: Mare (Bell), 8 years, £54; mare (pedigree), 8 years. 48gns; mare (Bell), 3 years, £49; gelding (Jock), 3 years off. £45; chestnut mare, 5 years, £4B; gelding (Tiger), 6 years, £39; gelding (Dick), 7 years, £35; mare (Jean), 8 years, £35; mare, 3 years, £34/10/-; gelding (Prince), 8 years, £33; bay filly, 3 years, unbroken, £37; bay Ally, 3 years, unbroken, £27; gelding (Punch), aged. £2O; bay mare, aged, £l3/10/-; hackney gelding, £2/10/-.
