The Marseilles correspondent of “The Daily Mail” says: Lord Edward Montagu has been further medically examined, and is reported to be unfit for service and has returned to civilian life.

A message published on February 16 stated: Lord Edward Montagu enlisted in the Foreign Legion for five years’ service. He said he preferred the aviation corps, but the tough life did not matter. The enlistment must be sanctioned by headquarters at Toul, where he will undergo medical examination, and thereafter be drafted to Algiers.
