GOLF

NORTH-END CLUB The annual general meeting of the North End Club was held last evening, Mr L, Edyvean presiding. In his opening remarks the president complimented members on their attendance, and congratulated them on the very successful year just passed. The annual report (previously published) and balance sheet were adopted without discussion.

Thirty resignations were received and 28 new members elected. Officers were elected as follow: — President, Mr L. Edyvean; vice-presi-dent, Mr H. Kellett; club captain, Mr J. C. Mason; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. E. Barnard; auditor, Mr F. J. Dunn; general committee, Messrs R. J. Moyesl J. Stevens, C. McKitterick and A. Shillito; ladies’ secretary, Mrs H. Kellett; ladies’ handicapper Mrs L. Edyvean. It was decided to open the season on April 6.

Mr I. J. Bradley moved and Mr A. W. Knight seconded that the annual subscription be men 35/-, ladies 25/-, and that no charge be made for match entries or afternoon tea. The motion was carried.

A grant of £5/5/- was voted to Mr C. A. Frampton for his services as greenkeeper.
