KING’S JUBILEE

NATIONAL CHURCH SERVICE By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, March 13. The Anglican Primate, Archbishop Averill, has issued to all city and suburban Mayors, members of local bodies, army, navy, air force officers, consuls and prominent citizens, an invitation to attend an official national service of thanksgiving in St. Matthew’s Church on Monday, May S, on the occasion of the commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of King George’s reign. The church holds 2000 persons and it is expected that it will be filled. The service will be as nearly as possible similar to that in St. Paul's, London, but the Auckland service will be held 12 hours earlier, and actually be the first in the Empire.
