THE CHIEF SCOUT

VISIT TO CAMP-FIRE TO-NIGHT Advice was received yesterday that the Chief Scout, Lord Baden Powell, accompanied by the Chief Guide, Lady Baden Powell and Colonel and Mrs Granville Walton, who will be in Timaru to-day as the guests of Mr and Mrs B. E. H. Tripp, Gleniti, will be present at a camp fire of Scouts and Guides to be held at the Highfield Den, Rathmore Street, to-night. Although Lord and Lady Baden Powell have been holidaying in South Canterbury for a few days, the Chief Scout willingly accepted the invitation of the Honorary Commissioner (Mr H. A. Innes Jones) to meet the Scouts and Guides round the camp fire for a few minutes.
