The South Australian Jockey Club’s races were held yesterday. The chief event resulted: — NEW YEAR’S GIFT HANDICAP, 11 miles. Greek Gift, 7.12 (Medhurst) 1 Mellion, 8.3 (Barry) 2 Prince Paladin, 7.11 (Cox) 3 Won by threequarters of a length. Time—2min 34sec. There were sixteen starters.
