ELDERLY BOWLERS’ DAY The annual fixture for elderly bowlers has been arranged for Thursday, on the Park green. All bowlers 65 years and over will take part in the game. On January 24 Town will meet the Country section, eight rinks aside. On February 2 South Canterbury will play Oamaru at Oamaru for the Murray Bowl. On February 9 the champion of champion rinks will be played, and on the Thursday following the pairs and singles will be played. The Bristol Cup competition may be played some time this month, as there appears to be three Saturdays available before the champion of champion games start.

DOMINION TOURNAMENT OPENS TO-DAY By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, January 6. The twenty-second annual tournament of the New Zealand Bowling Association opens in Auckland tomorrow with play for the Dominion singles title. All the southern players have arrived, and some keen contests are expected. The weather is fine and the greens fast and true.
