At the wool sales 11,484 bales were offered, of which 11,199 were sold, also 616 privately. Competition was well maintained and a good clearance was effected. Prices for all well-grown wools ruled in sellers’ favour. Greasy merino made to 20d per lb., equalling the season’s record price.
