CHRISTMAS FOURS FINAL In one of the best races rowed this season, R. Bracefield defeated C. R. Bracefield in the final of the Timaru Rowing Club’s Christmas Fours last night. Both crews got a good start and from then to the finishing line first one and then the other held a slight advantage. Racing over the last few yards, R. Bracefield just managed to get his bow in front as they crossed the line, gaining the verdict by 3 feet. The crews were: R. Bracefield (s), J. McDougall, R. T. Turnbull, J. Lennon and C. R. Bracefield (s), J. McDonald, T. Ware and W. Cunningham.
