WAITAKI v. SOUTHLAND By Telegraph —Press Association INVERCARGILL, December 17. The annual cricket match between the Southland and Waitaki Boys High Schools was concluded to-day and ended in a, draw. The weather was fine and warm for most of the day. but later in the afternoon light rain fell. Waitaki replied to Southland’s first inning’s score of 283 with 218 (Kerr 64. McKay 42, Gordon 22). Bowling for Southland TJttley took six wickets for 100 runs and Warburton three for 89. Southland batted again and scored 173 for six wickets (Pollok 48, Lee not out 47, Warburton 24).
