PRODUCTION IN U.S.A.
LESSENED RESTRICTIONS THIS YEAR United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyrlgnt (Received November 19, 10.40 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 19. The Secretary of Agriculture (Senator Henry Wallace) announced that the mid-West farmers next year will be asked to keep their corn acreage and hog numbers only ten per cent, below the 1932-33 average of production, assuming that normal weather conditions will permit the production of 250,000,000 bushels of corn in excess of the estimated requirements for livestock feeding. This excess, if produced again, will be sealed under the corn loan programme, which will be in force next year. The reductions compare with the present 20 to 30 per cent, corn reductions and 25 per cent, hog numbers reduction.
