GOOD PRICES REALISED The largest catalogue of the season, totalling more than 22,000 skins In which all descriptions were well represented, was offered to a full bench of buyers at the sheepskin sale held in Timaru yesterday. The sale was good throughout, and a substantial clearance was effected. Threequarters-bred and cross-bred prices brought from 5d to Id more than the prices which ruled the last auction but merino and halfbreds showed very little appreciation. Dead and damaged skins sold at rates on a par with those at the last sale. The range of prices is as follow; Halfbred —full wool No. 1 pelts, 9d; strong full wool 85d; half to threequarter wools 63d to Bd. Threequar) er-bred —full wool Old; threequarter wools 6d; quarter to half wools 4d to 4 i d. Cross-bred —full w'ool 53d; threequarter wool 4”d; quarter to half wools 33d. Faulty—halfbred 73d; half-bred 73d; threequarter-bred sd; cross-bred 4d Dead—half-bred 63d; threequarterbred 4Jd; cross-bred 4d. Merino—threequarter to full wools (killed) 73d; quarter to half wools 4’d. Faulty and dead—dead 6d to 63d; half to threequarter dead 4d. Lambs and hoggets—half-bred lambs (killed) 6d; threequarter-bred lambs (killed> sd: half-bred hoggets (killed) 7id; threequarter-bred hogget (killed) 63d; cross-bred hogget (killed) sd.
