The sloop Laburnum, which is shortly to be retired from active service with the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, is now on her last cruise in New Zealand wat-ers. She left Auckland on November 5 for Tauranga, where she will remain until next Monday, and from there will proceed to Picton, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Wellington. She is expected to arrive at Wellington on December 15, and will remain in port over the holiday period, sailing again on January 5 for Gisborne on ner return to Auckland. After her return to Auckland on January 15 she will be prepared for her trip to England, where she will probably be broken up. Her place on the New Zealand station will be taken by the new war sloop Wellington, which was launched at Devonport, England, last March.
