GRANTCHESTER SCHOOL SPORTS
After being postponed on account of the weather the annual sports of Grantchester School took place at the school grounds in Otipua Road yesterday afternoon. The weather was beautifully fine, the school grounds were looking their best and the parents and friends who were present enjoyed the many events which were run off under ideal conditions. Afternoon tea was served in the shade of the trees.
At the conclusion of the events, the prizes were presented by Mrs J D. H. Buchanan, wife of the headmaster. Mrs Buchanan wore a suit of chocolate brown wool georgette, worn with a brown and white striped blouse, tied in a bow at the neck. Her hat was a brown bankok straw, with cluster of shaded flowers under the brim.
