FALL OF STONE IN MINE

MAN KILLED INSTANTLY By TelegraDP - Pres« Association WAIHI, October 30. William Mair (23), single, was killed in the Waihi mine. Mair and a mate, T. Bright, had been trucking from a shrinkage block below No. 11 level when a fall of rock occurred, striking Mair on the head and body, killing him instantly. This is the first fatal accident in the mine for seven years.
