WINCHESTER
DANCE IN AID OF HALL FUNDS The final of a series of dances arlanged by the committee of the Victoria Hall, was well patronised. These dances, held during the winter, have brought in £53/17/10 towards the hall funds. It is the intention of the committee to make additions to the building before next winter. Music was supplied by a Temuka orchestra, and extras were played by Miss M. White and Mr W. Morgan. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss G. Watson and Mr G. Aker, the statue waltz by Miss K. Downes and Mr R. Grey, and the lucky envelope dance by Mrs S. Cunningham and Mr J. J. Kenny. Messrs W. J. Jackson and W. E. Knight were masters of ceremonies. Mr Knight returned thanks to all who had supported the dances during the winter.
